FIRST PROJECT - Mighty oaks from little acorns grow
The first project of Chutti Crorepati Club was to grow a plant and note down every step involved . Each class was to have a potted plant and give a report after about two weeks. Children from Kindergarten to class II were asked to note down in a bit of paper what they did, saw and felt during the project. SECOND PROJECT - SPEND SAVE AND GIVE
Raising money smart kids isn’t just a nice idea. In these difficult times, it is more important than ever to help your kids learn how to manage money. Giving children an allowance and a plan for spending their money offers the best chance to teach children critical skills to become smart about money. Giving your child even a small amount of money they can learn to spend on their own, which will benefit them in the future. Experts indicate children learn more by having their own money to spend, so give serious thought about giving your child an allowance. To know more about the project please click on the files below. We conducted a short play in the senior school and the junior school high lighting the merits of the project.

JOY OF GIVING WEEK OCT 2 TO OCT 8 2012
The Joy of Giving Week is India's "festival of giving"! Launched in 2009, the festival is celebrated every year, in the week including Gandhi Jayanti, i.e., October 2-8, and brings together Indians from all walks of life, to celebrate "giving".
From auto drivers to CEOs, school children to celebrities, homemakers to opinion leaders, millions of people give their time, money, resources or skills back to society- by creating or participating in "events" of their choice. A giving event could be as simple as a family taking out the maid's children for an ice-cream party, or as large as the Design For Change Contest that had 200,000+ school children across India participating and volunteering to make a difference.

YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Once a man was walking along a beach. The sun was shining and it was a beautiful day. Off in the distance he could see a person going back and forth between the surf's edge and the beach. Back and forth this person went. As the man approached he could see that there were hundreds of starfish stranded on the sand as the result of the natural action of the tide.
The man was struck by the apparent futility of the task. There were far too many starfish. Many of them were sure to perish. As he approached, the person continued the task of picking up starfish one by one and throwing them into the surf.
As he came up to the young man he said, "You must be crazy. There are thousands of miles of beach covered with starfish. You can't possibly make a difference." The young man looked at him. He then stooped down and picked up one more starfish and threw it back into the ocean. He turned back to the man and said, "It made a difference to that one!"

Paid in Full with One Glass of Milk
One
day, a poor boy who was selling goods from
door to door to pay his way through school, found he had only one thin dime
left, and he was hungry.
He decided he would ask for a meal at the next house. However, he lost his nerve when a lovely young woman opened the door. Instead of a meal he asked for a drink of water. She thought he looked hungry so brought him a large glass of milk. He drank it slowly, and then asked, "How much do I owe you?" "You don't owe me anything," she replied. "Mother has taught us never to accept pay for a kindness." He said..... "Then I thank you from my heart."
As Howard Kelly left that house, he not only felt stronger physically, but his faith in God and man was strong also. He had been ready to give up and quit.
Year's later that young woman became critically ill. The local doctors were baffled. They finally sent her to the big city, where they called in specialists to study her rare disease. Dr. Howard Kelly was called in for the consultation. When he heard the name of the town she came from, a strange light filled his eyes. Immediately he rose and went down the hall of the hospital to room. Dressed in his doctor's gown he went in to see her. He recognized her at once. He went back to the consultation room determined to do his best to save her life. From that day he gave special attention to the case. After a long struggle, the battle was won.
Dr. Kelly requested the business office to pass the final bill to him for approval. He looked at it, then wrote something on the edge and the bill was sent to her room. She feared to open it, for she was sure it would take the rest of her life to pay for it all. Finally she looked, and something caught her attention on the side of the bill. She read these words..... "Paid in full with one glass of milk"
Signed Dr. Howard Kelly.
